I think the obvious structural change will be in the way compensation is distributed. The current model of a financial oligarchy has been crushed and the added flattening influence of power brought on by the Internet will allow for a further dissemination of financial influence and power amongst those individuals willing to evolve to the knowledge and greatness that lies within their own abilities. These schools of individuals connected via social networking will provide the financial largesse required to take our financial world to the next level - a world of compensation based on true contribution benefiting mankind not on larceny or chicanery used to strip wealth from mankind.

You need to add one more element to the list of things that led to this supposed rapid adaptation: Magic, or pixie dust, or the waving of a cosmic magic wand.
The theory of evolution, although I really love it and think it's a lot of fun, is nothing more than man's desperate attempt to explain his existence, without having to acknowledge the existence of God. It is just a theory, and probably one of the most unsubstantiated theories in the history of man. The evidence contradicting the theory speak much louder than the theory itself. I don't care how quickly you want to try to argue the process of evolution took place, or how perfect the conditions might have been, ultimately the scientific probabilities that theses recombinations, mutations and/or adaptations ever could take place and have the kind of results the theory proposes are essentially impossible according to the numbers. No matter how quickly the changes occurred, there should still be a plethora of fossils for intermediate species throughout the entire history of evolution. These fossils not only don't exist, but as more fossils of complete species are discovered it only sheds more light on the fallacy of the theory. Also, to argue that these random mutations that lead to adaptation only occur in the direction of positive progression, is to essentially argue that Evolution has an intelligence which directs the process. If not, then in one step an eyeball is randomly formed, who's to say in the next step it wouldn't disappear. Oh yeah, you also have to also believe that as an eyeball was magically, I mean randomly forming, the optic nerve and some kind of brain that would interpret the data from said eye, would also be randomly forming at the exact same time. You have to be kidding me! Yes, the converts of evolution live in denial of the more obvious facts staring them in the face, and hold fast to the ever changing theories of evolution and the imaginative charts and diagrams with really clever fabricated intermediates and fairy-tale species, but in the end, evolution is just bad science. I too, love the chart of the monkey becoming a man. I really do think it's cute. But it didn't happen, and no intelligent human should place their hope in such nonsense.

Craig, the point was not left out accidentally. It was intentionally and respectfully left for interpretation by the reader.
I don't begin to have the answer as to why the genes formed, why Leonardo DaVinci is stands as a towering intellect over everyone else of the time or why the leaders of today are emerging/will emerge.
Serendipity, faith, chance or destiny. Everyone can try what fits with their perspective and beliefs.
In fact, I'm a big proponent of taking the counterperspective just for argument's sake to understand and be sensitive to all sides...
